"GENE GOULD READING" (30" x 40")

This unsigned artwork, thickly painted on a masonite board, is clearly a portrait of young Gene Gould reading. Two details confirm this idea:

1) There is a striking resemblance with the way Gene Gould looked at a young age, as evidenced by the photo shown below.

2) The model in this painting is missing the little finger of his right hand, which was the case for Gene Gould following a farm equipment accident that happened during his childhood.

 

 

 

 

"CROUCHING MAN"  (roughly 13 inches in all dimensions)

Gene Gould referred to the artist who made this very nice statue as Leroy King. That's all that is known about it.
